Seeing life through rose-colored glasses is great but seeing life in all its colors is better! ❤️🧡💛💚💙🖤

Welcome to Kindness Club, the new mental health podcast presented by Molang and Piu Piu! In each episode, your favorite YouTubers welcome a guest to talk about the difficulties of everyday life and give you tips on how to cope!

In this first episode, Piu Piu is feeling a bit down, and Molang's mission is to put a smile back on its face! With a pinch of magic and a dash of creativity, they're joined by the fabulous Barbara to talk about how to stay positive in all circumstances. But is it really the best solution? 🤔

Why is it so hard to talk about sadness?

ree

We've all felt sad at some point in our lives, without knowing how to react or even how to talk about it with others. We often prefer to avoid the subject, because sadness is a private matter that can make us feel vulnerable or weak in the eyes of others.

And yet, expressing our emotions and communicating with others on this type of subject is essential to maintain a good mental health and feel good about ourselves.

Most of the time, it's fear of other people's judgment that prevents us from giving free rein to our sadness. This can lead us to isolate ourselves, close in on ourselves and make our situation worse.

ree

To avoid this vicious circle and get back on track, we need to open up about sadness and emotions, even if they are perceived in a negative light.

To achieve this, it's important to feel safe and confident with the people around you. They'll listen to you and support you on your journey. Just like Molang and Piu Piu in Kindness Club!

Life isn't always rosy, and that's normal

ree

At first sight, we'd all like to see life as rosy and radiant as our Molang kawaii lamp, wouldn't we?

Everything would seem easier, negative emotions would disappear and so would our everyday problems. But wouldn't it be just as constraining to feel just one emotion all the time?

As with Barbara, trying to look happy, smile and have a positive attitude all the time can often prove exhausting and have the opposite effect. Trying to be happy at all costs can make you sad!

Making room for all emotions, especially sadness, seems essential for healthy mental health. So it's normal not to be in high spirits every day.

ree

The most difficult thing is to find the right balance between all our emotions, without becoming overwhelmed. But if this happens, don't panic: moments of sadness, like moments of joy, are just as legitimate!

However, if moments of sadness and depression become more pronounced and persist, it's important to seek professional help.

Barbara's advice on accepting sadness

ree

  • You guessed it, I LOVE PINK! 💟 (a lot!!!) but keep in mind that “Seeing life through rose-colored glasses” can be fun but you don’t have to fake it!

  • If sometimes you feel sad or lonely, don't panic! DON'T PANIC OK!!!

Ok I'm breathing.... On the contrary, this is the time to take some time for yourself and surround yourself with your friends 👩❤👨

  • If you're not in high spirits, that's okay. The most important thing is to find out why and talk to someone you trust, like the Kindness Club ❤️🩹

  • If, just like me, you like to do fun things to cheer you up (KARAOKE FOREVER!!! 🎤) now's the time! Sing your favorite song or give your most cute plush Molang a big hug 😍

Where can you find help for your mental health?

If you or a Pinco you know feels overwhelmed by his or her emotions and can't keep his or her head above water, it's important to act quickly.

If you need help, first talk to those closest to you, whether family or friends, as their help can be invaluable.  But sometimes the help of those close to us is not enough.

ree

In this case, it's just as important to turn to medical professionals such as a psychologist or General Practioner.
